Stalking with a smile
HIG, the Higher Institute for family sciences in Brussels organised on March 19th, 2011 a conference ‘Stalking with a smile’. The aim was to discuss the use of location based services in a family context. Around 80 people had subscribed to this conference. Liveline coordinator Wim Lahaye explained the goals and the technical challenges of the Liveline project to a non-technical audience. HIG team members Hans Van Crombrugge and Adelheid Rigo presented the Liveline findings from the perspective of the human sciences. Other speakers were Professor Jos De Mul of Erasmus University Rotterdam who spoke about the impact of new technologies on human relationships and Professor Jos Dumortier of the catholic University of Leuven who elaborated on legal issues related to privacy and location based services.

Galileo Application Days
Representatives of the Liveline consortium have been present at the Galileo Application Days which took place from 3rd to 5th March 2010 in Brussels. The Liveline project has been presented to the public and the future Liveline service (technology based on the current bliin Live! service) was demonstrated by some students who played the Eden family, running around with GPS enabled mobile phones. Visitors could see their location on a desktop PC installed at the Liveline booth.
The Liveline team distributed project flyers and post cards to the visitors and collected useful feedback through questionnairs filled by the audience. In the end, the Galileo Application Days were a big success for the consortium and the whole project.

Conference on Satellite Communication in Germany
The coordinator of the Liveline project, DKE Aerospace Lux, participated in the conference on "Satellite communication in Germany" which took place on 24-25 March 2010 in Bonn. The occasion has been used for dissemination and promotion of the Liveline project.
